MADO juniors Tom MacKenzie and Mhairi Leeson found themselves on the podium at the British Schools Score Orienteering Championships held at Shipley Park, near Heanor on Saturday.
Tom, of The Chase, Malvern, won the gold in the year 8 boys competition while Mhairi of Kings School, Worcester gained the silver in the year 6 girls.
In fourth place, just 6 seconds off a medal was Daniel Hartmann of The Chase in the year 12/13 boys. Other top ten places included Hamish Perks and Russell Whitehouse, 5th and 6th in Year 8 boys, Duncan Leeson 5th in the year 9 Boys with Alex Roberts in 8th place behind him, all representing Kings, and Rosemary Hartmann of The Chase, 6th in year 8 girls.
